Here at the Business Growth Network, we understand how important networking is to all businesses no matter size, sector or how long you’ve been established. The latest global Covid-19 virus is like nothing else we have experienced. The National Growth Exhibition and Conference last Thursday was probably the last of any large conference of it’s kind for months to come. We are thankful for everyone who came and to my team who took every effort to maintain cleanliness and to the venue Birmingham City Football Ground for their accommodating flexibility and professionalism throughout which was probably the hardest day we have faced whilst running an event SEE PICTURES.

The Business Growth Network and its partners believe the health and wellbeing of our members, guests, and our team are our top priority. Our event partners and the venues we use are committed to upholding Government guidelines, strategies, and initiatives related to them.

Each day we are closely monitoring Government guidelines both here and in Europe and following instructions accordingly. In response to the escalation over the weekend and on Monday of the rise of Coronavirus in affected countries, we are taking steps to minimise disruption whilst maintaining business growth.

Our founder, Mark Linton and his event partners have agreed on the following plan. At this point in time, we will be stopping face to face networking events until after Easter and will review at that point. Our plan up until last night (Monday 16th March) was to continue to host our lunch meetings (limited to 20 attendees) for those who need to continue networking in order to sustain business activity. Unfortunately, government advice would have us cease all unnecessary gatherings. We are now moving towards phase 2 of our plan to provide networking online through our digital platforms. We will start with the introduction of on-line ‘Mastermind meetings’ hosted by BGN members and industry experts to help with business growth and strategic planning. We are also launching a weekly Twitter Hour, encouraging business promotion, news, views, and discussion.

In relation to our events – if you have booked on to an event we transfer your ticket to any future events and give you an additional ticket to attend either our Latte, AfterHours or Speed Networking event with NO CHARGE when we can start to provide face to face events again in the future.

We understand that this is not an easy time for any of us and it is changing daily, at the moment it is NOT business as usual. We are making every effort to continue to support our members and businesses throughout this period of uncertainty.

The Business Growth Network team is here to offer support and help you through these challenging times we find ourselves in. Keep safe and healthy.

We will, of course, keep you updated via email and through posts on social media.

Best Wishes – Mark Linton
