Yuki Tang is the latest to join The Business Growth Network. Serial entrepreneur joins Event Partnership Programme with BGN. Yuki owns My Flamingo Bar, My Cafe and now The Business Growth Network – Leeds.
Yuki doesn’t let the grass grow under her feet, Mark Linton, CEO and Founder of The Business Growth Network first met Yuki when she was the General Manager of Serve Birmingham, a ‘table tennis bar’ in June 2018 where she signed up to be BGN’s first premium member. In July 2019, the company went into liquidation and she found herself with NO JOB. Rather than let that defeat her she set up ‘My Flamingos’ that same month. She worked tirelessly to get her brand out there locally in Birmingham offering both businesses and consumers the ultimate cocktail experience. She has gone on to be recognised within the industry for a number of awards for customer experience and the best bar.
In March 2020, when lockdown commenced, rather than furloughing herself she started marketing online cocktail making courses, and during Christmas she started selling personalised cocktails for corporates to send to their clients as gifts.
Finally, in December 2020 she set up ‘My Cafe’ and now runs the catering for IWG (Spaces) in Birmingham, and has been awarded a second site in Birmingham and the task of opening up ‘My Cafe’ in central Leeds in IWG’s Spaces.
When asked what drives her, she replied with, ‘I have a passion for good quality customer service and desire to help others.’ Yuki now employs four staff and is looking to take on four more to join her team.
Yuki explains she took on the event partnership license with BGN as it will allow her to get to more businesses in Leeds quicker whilst helping fellow entrepreneurs and businesses to grow. She has given herself the task of providing her first Face2Face meeting on Thursday 1st July with Leeds’ first business networking lunch for The Business Growth Network. She will be working locally with the hospitality industry to help revive the industry by placing lunch bookings on the first Thursday of each month from 12pm – 2.30pm.
The Business Growth Network team are delighted to have Yuki onboard. Mark Linton goes on to say, “Yuki is one of the most tenacious individuals he has ever met and is delighted to have someone he knows and trust lead the way for the north with his event partnership programme.”
The Business Growth Network is expanding it’s network out across the UK and now across the globe with interest from the USA, Canada, India and UAE. The lockdown has given way for new opportunities not only domestically but internationally. We will be launching soon our new digital membership plus which allows online members to attend events across the world in different time zones with the restrictions of travel. The ethos of the company is to allow businesses to attend for FREE to any online meeting anywhere in the world for the first time with one complimentary ticket. Businesses will be encouraged to either join as a member or they can attend for two more times as a guest.
